Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage and maintain our Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, performance tuning, and backup and recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Installation and Configuration: Install and configure Oracle Database software and perform upgrades as necessary.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries for maximum efficiency.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Security Management: Manage user access and permissions, and implement security measures to protect data.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor databases for performance issues, and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to support database-related projects and provide guidance on best practices.
• Disaster Recovery: Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Oracle Database. 
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work in a team environment.
